Animated Time-Data Analysis

Prepare data for animated analysis of data transformations in time. Use dimensions and measures of OLAP multidimensional, Tabular, or Kyubit Analytic models to quickly prepare data to show with these great animated charts with very useful analytic and visualization features.

Animated Timeline-based Analysis Charts

Use the Kyubit BI platform to create animated data analysis charts that are based on the time dimension. Easily download the chart as an HTML file and use it outside the Kyubit application, embed it to another website, send it as an email attachment, or use it for presentation purposes. Quickly switch from linear to logarithmic scale and set preferred various visual options. Create an animated analysis chart from the analysis view (Options > Animated Time Analysis) or create it as a dashboard chart that is based on the prepared analysis structure (explained below).

How to create an Animated Bubble Chart?

Animated Bubble chart shows transformations of values based on 2 or 3 measures for selected dimension members in time. At any time of animation, click the pause button to stop the animation and zoom into the chart values for more clarity. While observing the values for a particular element, click on it and display the ‘History line’ that will show all previous values for the same element presented with additional (historic) bubbles and the line chart. Use the ‘Compare Analysis’ to compare values between two periods. Use the ‘Progress Analysis’ to display what elements are best performers in a given time period.

Data Structure for the Animated Bubble Chart...

The Animated Bubble Chart expects a certain structure of the underlying analysis, so the chart can be properly interpreted and rendered. The related analysis has to be based on the 2 or 3 measures. The first measure is rendered on the X axis, the second measure on the Y axis, and the third measure (if exists) is rendered as the radius of the related bubble (circle). The structure should include to one or two category levels (attributes) and time dimension periods added to the series axis of the analysis.

Data Structure for the Bubble Chart with groups...

The related analysis has to be based on the 2 or 3 measures. It should refer to two category levels (attributes) that are expanded and time dimension periods added to the series axis of the analysis. The first level on the category axis presents entities (groups) to which items (from the second level) belong.

How to create an Animated Bar Chart?

The purpose of the Animated Bar Chart is to use your data to present the 'Race to the Top’ animation based on a single measure. The user observesthe top performers for any time period and the way the top performers are changing through time.

How to create an Animated Butterfly Chart?

A bi-directional bar chart compares the values of the same items that belong to two different entities (groups) by a single measure through time.

The analysis for the butterfly chart has to be based on a single measure. It should include two category levels (attributes) that are expanded and time dimension periods added to the series axis of the analysis. The first level on the category axis presents comparing entities (groups) to which items (from the second level) belong.
